For the past six weeks, a student team from Emergence School of Leadership has been a part of our process, contributing to the project as our own research team. Their primary task has been to seek information and insights on international talent in Oslo. Both the hard facts and their own personal opinions. Being true to the process has been key for the students – getting out of the building and meeting people. Empathizing, discussing, asking questions and understanding. Twice the team facilitated workshops in the Why Oslo pop-up lab, where they invited international students in for questionnaires, Kahoot’s and several rounds of ping-pong. In this lab they have together with the internationals managed to answer a whole lot of questions regarding Oslo’s hospitality, climate, culture and political situation. the team has also held interviews with companies such as VisitOslo, Oslo Chamber of Commerce and Telenor. The product they are handing over to us as the result of their project, is a report gathering all their interviews, research, insights and an overview of their network. This is a valuable piece of work for us in the on-going process of answering the question 'How can we make Oslo feel more like home for international talent?' We look forward to bringing their work a step further and discovering even more insights during the next weeks and months!

The team has documented their journey on instagram – you can follow them at @project.oslo!
